It's spring and it's Easter, so what better way to celebrate the start of warm weather and our first spring holiday than with a festival!

Spring Wing Ding will include entertainment, contests including a bird house painting contest, a wing eating contest, bird watching experts talking about the birds of our area, "chick or treat" for the kids on Easter Sunday, prizes and so much more! Saturday, April 11:

12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Easter Bunny Hunt - find the Easter Bunny wandering through Barefoot Landing and get an Easter treat!

12:00 p.m. Joe Joe the Magician by Ultimate California Pizza.

12:00 p.m. Native American flute player plays and talks about the history of the instrument in front of Wolf Creek Gallery.

1:00 p.m. Gary Phillips, bird expert and writer for The Sun News, to talk and lead nature walk to view birds of the Grand Strand and Barefoot Landing. The talk and walk start at Welcome Center.

2:00 p.m. Bird House Painting Contest with students. To be held on the deck of Joe’s Crab Shack.

2:00 p.m. Taffy pulling demo at Wee R. Sweetz

2:00 p.m. Splash, mascot of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, wandering throughout Barefoot Landing.

3:00 p.m. Soap Bubble Blast to be held in front of Anything Joe’s.

4:00 p.m. Bubble Gum Blow-out to be held in front of Candybarrel.

5:00 p.m. Wing Eating Contest to be held at Wild Wing Café.

Sunday, April 12:

Check the Sun News on Sunday, April 12 for a picture to color as part of our Spring Wing Ding coloring contest! Turn your pictures in to Anything Joe's by Monday, April 13 at 5 p.m. for your chance to win. Winners will receive a Barefoot Landing Adventure Pack that will include tickets for Ghosts & Legends Theater, Alligator Adventure and MirrorMaze, as well as a Barefoot Landing gift certificate.

12:00 p.m. Joe Joe the Magician by UCP.

1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Easter Bunny Hunt - find the Easter Bunny wandering throughout Barefoot Landing and get an Easter treat!

1:00 p.m. Sidewalk Chalk Art in front of Maggie Moo’s.

2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Kids - Chick or Treat throughout Barefoot. Pick up a bag for your child at Ghosts & Legends or T-Bonz, then collect Easter treats being handed out by participating merchants at Barefoot Landing.

2:00 p.m. Easter Egg hunt in The Peanut Shop

3:00 p.m. Bird experts Sharon and Phil Turner talk about bird watching and will do a bird watching demo (weather permitting)to start at Welcome Center

4:00 p.m. Judging for Bonnet Contest (made at home) or create your own in front of Hats Galore

Saturday and Sunday: Petting Zoo and pony rides from noon to 5 p.m. in the front parking lot by the Chico's entrance.

Kite flying, will take place throughout the weekend.

Al and Tynee from Alligator Adventure, Maggie from Maggie Moo's will be wandering throughout Barefoot Landing throughout the weekend.
